Captain Mike Roy

At a young age, Mike spent much of his time exploring the expansive terrain of Casco Bay. In his early teens, while pushing his skiff across a mudflat to deeper water, Mike crossed paths with a striped bass rooting around in the mud. This memory left a lasting impression on him and helped spark his lifelong passion for stalking fish in shallow water. His enthusiasm for sharing this resource and guiding anglers on the flats of Casco Bay was seeded by these early life experiences.

A lifelong student of the sea, Mike is as excited and motivated today as he was the first time he saw fish in skinny water. He has developed a deep understanding of the fishery and what it takes to find and feed these fish on a day-to-day basis.

Mike understands the value of this resource and is dedicated to preserving the fish population and the local habitat in order to keep this world class destination a productive and healthy system for future generations to enjoy.

Mike holds a U.S. Coast Guard Master Captain’s license and is a registered Maine tidewater guide. His maritime experience and proficiency operating boats allow him to create a comfortable and relaxing time on the water.
